Bovine colostrum benefits & GcMAF

Important Clarification on Colostrum and GcMAFplus®
There is ongoing confusion in the market suggesting that colostrum is equivalent to GcMAF, or that colostrum alone can activate macrophages. This is incorrect.
While bovine colostrum contains many immune-supportive nutrients, it does not contain GcMAF and does not activate macrophages. Some products falsely imply that colostrum alone provides the same benefits as GcMAFplus® — this is misleading.
At GcMAFplus, we use certified biodynamic bovine colostrum only as the initial substrate to extract the vitamin D-binding protein (Gc protein). From this, we produce pure, active GcMAF using a multi-stage, laboratory-controlled enzymatic process under GMP ISO-certified conditions.
By the time our process is complete, no colostrum, milk proteins, or casein remain in the final GcMAF molecule. Our GcMAF is purified, potent, and bioidentical to that produced in healthy human immune systems.
Colostrum vs. GcMAF: What’s the Difference?
Colostrum is a nutrient-rich fluid produced by mammals after giving birth. It supports newborn development and contains antibodies, lactoferrin, and growth factors — all of which benefit gut and immune health.
GcMAF (Gc Macrophage Activating Factor) is a specific immune-activating protein produced from vitamin D-binding protein through enzymatic cleavage. It is not naturally found in colostrum or any food.
Can I Take Colostrum and GcMAFplus® Together?
Yes. Colostrum supplements can support general immune and gut health, but they are not substitutes for GcMAF. If you choose to take both, colostrum may complement your overall health strategy, while GcMAFplus® provides the targeted activation of macrophages required for immune modulation.
Final Note
GcMAF cannot be made in your kitchen. It is not found in yogurt, lollies, powders, or unprocessed colostrum. It must be carefully extracted and activated in a certified laboratory using skilled technicians and a validated production process. Only lab-purified GcMAF can activate macrophages at the molecular level as part of an immunotherapeutic approach.
For accurate immune support, always choose a clinically formulated, high-purity GcMAF product such as GcMAFplus®.
